Unidata Inc · Merge and reconcile

Many sources, one file that agrees with itself.

Two files rarely say the same thing about the same person. Which value survives is decided by a rule written before the merge, not argued about afterwards. What was discarded is still recorded.

Source reconciliation

Where two sources disagree on a field, the order of precedence is set in advance and applied the same way to every record.

Duplicate resolution

Matching on more than the address, so one person under two emails collapses to one row and two people behind a shared mailbox do not.

Field-level provenance

Each value carries the source it came from, so a record that is later disputed can be traced instead of defended.

Send the files and we will report what agrees and what does not, before anything is merged.
